  • 2010-2014 -- Assistant Public Defender for Newport County. Represented indigent clients accused of felony and misdemeanor crimes from arraignment through trial. Represented alleged misdemeanor and felony bail and probation violators from presentment through hearing. Briefed and argued numerous matters before Rhode Island District, Superior and Supreme Courts.  Handled all variety of criminal charges, including:

    • Driving Under the Influence and other Traffic related charges

    • Domestic charges

    • Assaults and Disorderly Conduct charges

    • Possession and Possession with Intent to Deliver charges

    • Theft and Theft related charges

  • 2005-2010 -- Litigation Associate with two highly respected Providence law firms.  Represented numerous individuals and corporations, both as plaintiffs and defendants, in State and Federal Courts in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Briefed and argued issues on a wide variety of practice areas, including:
